Our Speaker is Stella Piasecki. She is the Compost Program Coordinator at the Eastern Rhode Island Conservation District (ERICD). ERICD has recently partnered with the Town of Bristol to launch the first municipal curbside food scrap composting program in the state. They are working to educate Bristol residents about the importance of composting and the state of our waste and landfill in RI, as well as offering an easy solution to diverting food waste from the landfill in the form of our 2-year curbside composting pilot program.
