C.B. Construction and Utility

C. Brito Construction Company was founded in the early 1950’s by Ceasar Brito and his son, Joseph M. Brito, Sr. The company installed their first gas system, an eight-mile gas main project in Providence, RI, in 1954. C. Brito Construction Co., Inc. was incorporated in the state of Rhode Island in 1957. In the 1960’s, they expanded into the construction of municipal sewer systems and water systems. In 1989, C.B. Utility Co., Inc. was created and incorporated in the state of Rhode Island to embrace the changes in the industry and to enable the company to expand their work to a more technical level with further focus on highly-challenging utility projects. The current President and CEO is Joseph M. Brito, Jr. |

Our distinguished guest speaker is Aaron Ley. Aaron is an Associate Professor in the Department of Political Science at the University of Rhode Island and Director of URI’s Master of Public Administration Program. After his military deployment in 2004, Aaron graduated with honor in 2005 from Concordia College in Minnesota. He went on to receive his Ph.D. in Political Science from Washington State University in 2011. That year, he began his career at the University of North Dakota and was later hired by the University of Rhode Island in 2014. His research appears in the peer-reviewed journals of Environmental Politics, Law & Society Review, Society & Natural Resources, and Review of Policy Research. He is the newest member of the Bristol Town Council. |

Transitions Foundation & Educational Resources of Antigua Guatemala 501c3 Charity

John Bell is the President of the Transitions Foundation and also Educational Resources of Antigua Guatemala Inc, a Rhode Island registered us 501 c3 charity. He formed this to further support three areas of work in Guatemala for the past 27 years: Independent Living and Outreach Center, Educational Programs and Scholarships and Outpatient referral services. They currently provide living alternatives for 25 disabled young adults, higher education scholarships for 15, employment/vocational programs for 15, and employ 5 individuals with a disability to administer. He continues to serve in his role as a volunteer mentor and mostly teacher. For the last 25 years he has self-funded his monthly stipend and travel expenses for fundraising |
