"One of the suggestions made during our survey last year was for Bristol Rotary to honor a small business in Bristol that came into being from an original immigrant family and through the generations has succeeded, established roots, and typified the American dream. That is almost the history of Bristol."

"Our Speaker will be Paul Mancieri who is the proprietor and chef of Leo’s Restaurant. He’ll be talking about the history of Leo’s Restaurant. Leo’s was opened by Paul’s grandfather in 1948 on State Street.  Years later, Paul opened his own restaurant under his grandfather‘s name Leo. Paul is the third generation to run Leo’s. Paul will give us a glimpse into the unique history of a successful and iconic small business in Bristol."

The Bristol Town Clerk's Office serves as a vital conduit between the citizenry and local governance, embodying a tradition that traces its origins to ancient times. Reflecting on this legacy, Melissa considers it a profound honor to serve the diverse and vibrant community of Bristol, a town whose population has flourished to over 22,493 since its founding in 1680. Melissa remains steadfast in her commitment to fostering inclusive governance and enhancing civic engagement for generations to come.
