Our Speaker on March 19 will be Chuck Anastasia, Leader of the St. Mary of the Bay's M25:35 Ministry to Refugees and Immigrants. M25:35 refers to the Gospel of Matthew, Chapter 25, Verse 35. Their mission is to “welcome the stranger among us.” This Ministry was founded in the spring of 2022 shortly after the Russian invasion of Ukraine, when a parishioner made a generous one-time donation to provide housing assistance for Ukrainian refugees in Rhode Island. The Ministry has an eight-member board of advisors and more than 50 volunteers and supporters to help global refugees who are resettling in Rhode Island. To-date, they have assisted over 20 families from 10 countries. The M25:35 Ministry is a tax-exempt organization. Bristol Rotary donated to this Ministry in 2023
