Aaron Ley, PhD Assoc. Professor URI & Town Council
The history of US politics and his experience on the Bristol Town Council

Our distinguished guest speaker is Aaron Ley. Aaron is an Associate Professor in the Department of Political Science at the University of Rhode Island and Director of URI’s Master of Public Administration Program.  After his military deployment in 2004, Aaron graduated with honor in 2005 from Concordia College in Minnesota. He went on to receive his Ph.D. in Political Science from Washington State University in 2011. That year, he began his career at the University of North Dakota and was later hired by the University of Rhode Island in 2014. His research appears in the peer-reviewed journals of Environmental Politics, Law & Society Review, Society & Natural Resources, and Review of Policy Research.  He is the newest member of the Bristol Town Council.
