The trip that Eddy and I worked out with Wendy Silva at Atlantivacations became a 10-day trip to which we added more money of our own. The reason was, primarily, that we wanted to bring our daughter Kayla with us and make it a family vacation. Our itinerary was to spend 3 days in Venice, 3 days in Florence, 3 days in Naples and a last day flying out of Lisbon.

Wendy was terrific she handled all the bookings, tours, including the restaurants. Venice, of course was lovely and Wendy had booked us a tour that took us through the canals, museums and visiting the marvelous churches.

We went by train from city to city. Clearly the most effective way to travel in Italy. In Florence we were treated to a tour by golf cart which took us not only to the Duomo but to the amazing Uffizi galleries. The big dinner was in Florence, at a wonderful restaurant called Fattoria Sant’appiano, a real treat!

In Naples, our favorite was a private tour of the Amalfi Coast, a beautiful but frightening drive by car for the inexperienced. We toured the cities of Amalfi and Positano. We flew out of Naples to Lisbon and were able to spend a day shopping and getting in touch with our Portuguese roots. Again, we can’t thank Wendy Silva at Atlantivacations enough for the wonderful service and attention to detail. See the pictures below of Amalfi (right) and Positano. Thank you, Bristol Rotary!
